Massage Types

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage involves soothing and calming your body and your mind.  Techniques involve flowing strokes, kneading and gentle techniques that are not painful.  The goal is to nurture and de-stress YOU.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage involves targeting the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues (soft tissue) to bring relief to chronic muscle tension.  The techniques involve relaxing strokes to start easing soft tissue tension and building to firm and deliberate strokes to restore soft tissue function and improve circulation.

If you exercise regularly, massage may be used to support your body maintenance regime, aid recovery and assist with injury prevention.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and therapy to assist with a particular area of pain, tension, injury and rehabilitation management to help the body restore function.  It involves working together to identify the cause of the soft tissue dysfunction and create a treatment plan to build favourable conditions for your body to return to health.

A broad range of assessment, testing and massage techniques are applied that focus on the relief of muscle and connective tissue tension at a pressure that is both therapeutic and comfortable for you.
